Gene and Beki Hawkins, Warsaw, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sera Marie Hawkins, Valparaiso, to Joseph Donald Kluck II, Terre Haute. He is the son of Tessie and David Kluck, Whitmore Lake, Mich.
The bride-to-be is a first-grade teacher at Memorial Elementary School, Valparaiso. She is a 2003 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and received a degree in elementary education from Ball State University in 2007.
The groom-elect is a production supervisor at Sony DADC, Terre Haute. He is a 1996 graduate of Dexter High School, Dexter, Mich. and received bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering technology and business administration from Michigan Technological University in 2001. He separated from the military after six years as a captain of U.S. Army, serving in Korea, Germany and two tours in Iraq.
