Having Fun Raising Funds

Posted

Thursday was a day for frivolity among United Way pacesetter companies Little Crow Foods and First National Bank. Dennis Fuller (left photo), president of Little Crowe, took the plunge for United Way into a tub of Coco Wheats, one of his company's top products. The bath contained 154 pounds of Coco Wheats and 85 pounds of water. At right, First National president Willis Alt gets set to hit the water in the dunk tank set up in his bank's parking lot. The antics were part of the pacesetter companies' commitment to United Way. They offered to perform these stunts if 100 percent of their employees contributed to United Way. Both firms met that goal. The United Way goal for this year's campaign is $950,000. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
