Staff Report-
Saturday evening will be “A Night To Laugh” at Touch of Life Church, 2339 W. Old 30, Warsaw. That’s when one of the top ventriloquists in the world, comedian Taylor Mason, will perform a free show open to the public. His act starts at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. Once the church reaches full capacity, people will be turned away from the free event so the public is encouraged to arrive early, according to organizer Beverly Perry. Mason has performed for Disney, Microsoft and Second City. He works at corporate, church and other high-profile events, according to his biography. He keeps it clean and politically correct, which is why he performs 100 Disney dates a year. He appeals to all ages and includes everyone, the press information states. He’s been in theaters, comedy clubs and churches. According to information provided, Mason’s “quick wit, flawless delivery, unparalleled ventriloquism skills and brilliant material make him a hit with audiences of all ages. He is a ventriloquist, musician and stand-up comedian.” In 1990, he won “Star Search,” beating out some of the best-known comics in the country, the information states. In its 12-year run, only four comedians, including Mason, won “Star Search.” Runners-up included Drew Carey, Adam Sandler, Dave Chappelle, Kevin James, Norm Macdonald and more. “His experience as a comedy writer and performer has taken him from The Second City Theater in Chicago to headlining gigs at every major comedy club across the country. He’s as comfortable writing and executing humor for corporate clients like Microsoft and Walmart as he is doing a show for teens or children on a Disney Cruise ship. He’s performed for countless church functions. He’s inclusive, he’s genuinely interested in his audience and he’s 100 percent committed to every performance, every project and every single job he takes,” the information states.
