Harvey C. Badman, 80, Warsaw, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:20 p.m. Dec. 6, 2015, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born May 18, 1935, in Wabash County, to Harry and Laverda “Mary” Weller Badman. On Aug. 29, 1954, he married Evelyn R. Thomas, who survives.
Sunday was his favorite day of the week. He loved to travel especially a trip to Baden Baden, Germany, land of his ancestry, which his daughter and son-in-law planned, and went with him and his wife. He attended Community Bible Church faithfully until his death.
He worked for farmers 10 years, and at Manchester College for five years. He retired from New York Power Authority in 1997 after 17 years. He returned to Warsaw and worked for YMCA part time for seven years.
Surviving are a son, Ricky Badman, Warsaw; a daughter, Mrs. Royce W. (and spouse Cindy) Phillips, Tiffan, Iowa; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Community Bible Church, Warsaw, with Pastor Larry Overstreet officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
