In Friday’s edition of the Times-Union, a story titled “Sentence Meted In Sexual Battery” listed wrong information on the sentencing of Daniel R. Harstine, 45, Syracuse. Because of an error in reporting, Harstine was wrongly reported to have been charged and pleaded guilty to a felony. Harstine pleaded guilty to, and was convicted of only, a class B misdemeanor charge. The Times-Union deeply regrets the error and apologizes to Harstine and his family for the egregious mistake published in our newspaper.
