Harry T. Carter, 72, of Warsaw, died at 6:52 p.m. Aug. 28, 2010, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born March 17, 1938, in Columbia City, to Thomas and Helen Cole Simison Carter. On Dec. 14, 1958, in Claypool, he married Rosalie A. Snyder, who survives.
He lived in Warsaw but spent most of his life in the Claypool area. He was a janitor at Wawasee High School and North Webster Elementary and formerly worked at Gatke Corp., Warsaw. He was a member of God's Highway to Heaven, Warsaw.
Also surviving are three sons, Timothy Carter, Rick (and spouse Debra) Carter and Brian Carter, all of Warsaw; a daughter, Chris Carter, Warsaw; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Martha Reid and Judy (and spouse Carl) Mowrey, all of Columbia City, and Peggy (and spouse Keith) Layman, Warren; and a brother, Jan (and spouse Linda) Carter, Columbia City. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Bob Brown of God's Highway to Heaven, Warsaw. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.
