Harrison Elementary School had a lockdown Tuesday.
Principal Matt Deeds conducted a schoolwide lockdown for the school at approximately 10 a.m., according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
The lockdown was a preventative measure until Warsaw Police Department was called, which was quickly after the initial call for assistance, said Det./Sgt. Brad Kellar, public information officer for WPD.
“A parent of a student became upset over an incident involving that person's child who attends Harrison Elementary,” said Kellar.
WPD responded and the issue was resolved without incident, the release said. Kellar said no other departments were involved.
Kellar said no arrests were made because no crime was committed.
“There was cooperation with law enforcement upon their arrival. While no arrest was necessary in this incident, that person was issued a trespass warning and is subject to arrest if he/she returns to the school property,” Kellar said. “Because this involves a juvenile and no arrest was made, I will not comment on the specifics.”
At no point in time were students in danger, the release states. School activities resumed.
