Harriette J. Zimmer, 96, of Dunnellon, Fla., formerly of Warsaw, passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, in her son’s home.
She was born Feb. 27, 1921, to William and Thelma Reed Copeland in Hamlet. Harriette was united in marriage to Robert Zimmer on Dec. 24, 1938, in Atwood. He preceded her in death Sept. 19, 1975.
She was a resident of Warsaw for 60 years and was residing with her son, Robert, in Dunnellon.
She was a former receptionist/secretary for Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years; American Legion Post 258 Women’s Auxiliary, Pierceton, for 60 years; an honorary Elks member, and 40 & 8; and the Tippecanoe Valley Salon 135.
Harriette is survived by her son, Robert (spouse Glenda) Zimmer, Dunnellon; a brother, Kenneth Copeland, Warsaw; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will officiate.
Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
