SYRACUSE – Harriet Joan Rupprecht, 85, formerly of North Webster, died April 5, 2011, in Elkhart General Hospital. She was born May 22, 1925, in Fort Wayne, to Harry and Esther White Stabler. On Aug. 1, 1954, she married Ray Rupprecht, who died in 1988. She lived in Roanoke before moving to North Webster in 1948. She was a homemaker, part owner of North Webster Septic Tank and worked at North Webster Products. She was a member of Backwater Friends Club and North Webster American Legion Post 253 Auxiliary and attended Calvary Lutheran Church, Cromwell, and North Webster Bible Church. Surviving are four daughters: Cheryl (and spouse Henry) Fordyce, Gainseville, Fla.; Joni (and spouse Brian) Snider, Fort Myers, Fla.; Samie Black and Mary Valentine, both of North Webster; two sons, John Rupprecht, Warsaw, and Tim (and spouse Candice) Hine, North Webster; a stepson, David Rupprecht, Phoenix, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Rodney Hine; a son-in-law, Garry Valentine; two grandchildren; and three brothers. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E.
