BOURBON - Harold Richard Helton, 67, of 206 W. Clay St., Bourbon, died at 5:15 p.m. April 18, 2007, in his residence.

He was born Aug. 29, 1939, in Morgan County, Ky., to John and Mildred Steele Helton. On Aug. 11, 1979, he married Patricia William, who survives.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War. Living in the Bourbon area since 1973, he was a member of Bourbon American Legion Post 424. He was a foreman at Dayton Ohio Foundry and Reynolds Metals, Bourbon, and worked at Wirecraft, Bourbon.

Also surviving are four children: Mrs. Mike (Pam) Halloway and Larry Dale Helton, both of Dayton, Ohio, and Lon Charles Helton and Racheal Helton, both of Bourbon; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Bob (Mabel) Fugate, Dayton. He was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, with a military graveside service by members of Bourbon American Legion Post 424.
