NAPPANEE — Harold Eugene “Jack” Silvers, 86, of Nappanee, died at his grandson Tony Silvers’ residence, surrounded by his family at 3:15 p.m. Nov. 5, 2016, after a brief illness. He was born May 3, 1930, in Hicksville, Ohio, to John and Alta Silvers. On May 11, 1951, he married June Maust. She preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 2001. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and for one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. Thursday funeral service at the funeral home. The Rev. Frank Ramirez of Union Center Church of the Brethren will officiate.
