ARGOS – Harold Dimmitt Warner, 93, of South Old Ditch Road, Warsaw, and formerly of the Argos community, died at 11:55 p.m. May 4, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, following a sudden illness. He was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Escondido, Calif., to Vern T. and Lela Dimmitt Warner, while his parents were visiting there. On Feb. 29, 1939, in Argos, he married Velma Lucille Heims, who survives at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. He spent his life in the Argos community until living with his daughter in Warsaw for 10 months. He owned Warner Seed Farms, was a full-time farmer and a vegetable grower for Campbell’s Soup. He worked for Bendix from 1940-44 and was a real estate agent for Collins and Collins Reality, Plymouth. He was a member of the board of Realtors in Marshall County and was a 1937 graduate of Argos High School. Also surviving are a daughter, Pat West, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Rick Rish, South Bend; Lee Ellen Rish, Tunker; and Elizabeth (and spouse Alex) Clark, Warsaw; and four great-grandchildren: Annabel Clark and Osiris, Thaddeus and Leonidas Rish. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Jean Warner. Services were at 11 a.m. today at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, officiated by the Rev. Don Franklin of the Gospel Meeting House, Ora.
