COLUMBIA CITY - Harold D. Moore, 67, of rural Columbia City, died at 12:45 a.m. Nov. 24, 2009, in his residence.
He was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Whitley County, to Raymond E. and Nora C. DeVaux Moore.
He completed his schooling at Troy Center School. He started his work career on the family farm. He then worked for Carey Construction, South Whitley, where he became a mason. Starting his own company, Moore Masonry, he worked for more than 40 years doing stone and brick masonry jobs primarily in the Warsaw area. He was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God, Warsaw.
He is survived by two children, Timothy (and spouse Karen) Moore, Columbia City, and Anita (and spouse Daniel) Bucher, South Whitley; two grandchildren; and a sister Charlotte Kay (and spouse Steve) Winters, Columbia City. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Service will be at noon Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Pastor Ray Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Washington-Union Cemetery, Kosciusko County.
