SYRACUSE – Harold Compton, 68, of Syracuse, died Dec. 9, 2011, in his residence.
He was born March 23, 1943, in Newhall, W.Va., to Bud and Maggie Helton Compton.
He retired from the manufactured housing industry after many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Syracuse American Legion.
Surviving are two sisters, Catherine (and spouse Gene) Jessie, Syracuse, and Doris Norris, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by a brother.
A graveside service will be at a later date.
Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
