Washington Elementary School principal Thomas Eichenberg (R) helps serve students and their mothers during a "Muffins and Moms" event Friday morning at the school. Eichenberg said the event was set to coincide with Mother's Day and was scheduled after a successful "Donuts and Dads" earlier in the school year. About 250 students and their moms signed up to attend. A similar event took place Friday at Lincoln Elementary School, where reservations were received for 440 moms and students.
