Employees of Bertsch Vending took a hayride on Friday after reaching their United Way goal. Steve Ross, Bertsch president, vowed to drive a tractor pulling a hay wagon full of employees through downtown Warsaw if the goal was met. Bertsch employees exceeded their goal by more than 20 percent. The hayride ended at the courthouse square where the employees marked the progress of the campaign on the United Way thermometer. After the hayride, the employees enjoyed a parking lot party roasting hot dogs, bobbing for apples and making s'mores. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
