Two people were found injured Thursday night after reports of a person with gunshot wounds.

The Warsaw Police Department was dispatched to 702 S. Buffalo Street shortly after 11:30 p.m., where they located Andres Garcia, 38, of Cromwell, with left arm and abdominal wounds, which were reportedly the result of a shooting, according to a press release from WPD.

“Garcia was transported by Samaritan Air Ambulance to an area hospital and remains in critical condition,” the press release said.

The man who drove Garcia to the Buffalo location was Pedro Macias, 46, of Ligonier, who stated he had been struck on the left side of his head by a pistol.

WPD determined the incident happened in the Caldwell Lake area, where Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were called. Macias led investigators to the crime scene, where a firearm and witnesses were located.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the WPD, the Winona Lake Police Department and the Indiana State Police.

The press release states the incident is still developing and additional information will be forthcoming when available.
