The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States states the people have the right to keep and bear arms. Recently, the Supreme Court ruled that that did indeed apply to individuals.
The state of Indiana has issued me a license that states "The Licensee is hereby licensed by the Indiana State Police to carry on their person or in a vehicle any handgun lawfully possessed by Licensee."
In May even President Obama, who is considered anti-gun signed into law a bill allowing individuals with concealed carry permits to carry in Federal Parks.
Now comes the town of Milford considering an ordinance concerning firearms on town property. I'm not sure how that fits in with Indiana's firearms pre-emption law but what puzzles me the most is where the very conservative county of Kosciusko keeps coming with these people that feel they have the right to stomp on the rights of others.
As always, the only people who will pay any attention to such an ordinance will be law-abiding individuals. Is there anyone out there that is dumb enough to believe that criminals care about such ordinances or laws?
