It was one week ago (at this writing) that a messed-up soul in Las Vegas killed 58 people and injured several hundred more during a country music festival.
The shooter had modified some rifles used in this incident, enabling himself to cause maximum carnage. Yet once more we hear the self-righteous drumbeats of the political left espousing “gun control.”
Any person with a minimum knowledge of the Word of God will tell you that no amount of laws passed in America, or any other nation on earth, will ever be able to stop someone with a desire to commit murder, anarchy or mayhem.
The violence and evil which affect this world have spiritual origins, not just the product of a troubled mind of a damaged human.
Evil is spiritual at its very core. Despite whatever truth of the Holy Bible manages to reach the ears of the masses of humanity in this world today, too many churches no longer preach the truth of the Bible’s message of the need for repentance of sins, the need for God’s forgiveness by way of the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon that cross.
No, many of today’s churches would rather be popular with the crowds.
One of the sad truths in our nation today is that a lot of churches which used to teach the truth of God’s Word are no longer in operation. The old-time gospel isn’t popular among today’s youth, young adults or even families.
Few ministers even teach their crowds the fact that we are living in the very last of the last days, the period of time just before the return of Jesus Christ, and just prior to the time of great tribulation, which will affect the entire world.
Too many people have fallen for the lies of various religions and false prophets, or popular speakers such as Oprah Winfrey. She proclaimed to her audience on one broadcast that “there are many paths to God!”
Not true. The Holy Bible makes it clear: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” I Timothy 2:5.
Our world today is filled with violence, and no matter how many laws we have, our government is incapable of protecting the American people. In fact, it is not even interested in doing so. This is a truth which may are starting to learn the hard way.
