NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION FOR APPOINTMENT

OF GUARDIAN OF THE PERSON OF MINOR CHILD

THE PERSON OF L.A.G., Minor child.

    On the 3rd day of NOV, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. in the Kosciusko Circuit/Superior No. 1 Court at 121 N. Lake Street, Warsaw, IN, the Kosciusko  Circuit/Superior  No.  I Court will hold a hearing to determine whether a Guardian should  be appointed  for L.A.G., a child  born to Autumn  Brittany Stahl in November 2011.  A copy of the Petition filed herein requesting appointment  of a Guardian  is attached to this notice.

At the hearing, the Court will determine whether L.A.G. is an incapacitated  person or minor under Indiana law.  This proceeding  may substantially affect the rights ofL.A.G. and his/her parents.

    If the Court finds that L.A.G.  is an incapacitated  person or minor, the Court shall, at said hearing, also consider whether Teresa A. Coleman of Pierceton, Indiana should be appointed as Guardian of the person of L.A.G. The Court may, in its discretion, appoint some other qualified  person or institution as Guardian.  The Court may also, in its discretion, limit the powers and duties of the Guardian to allow L.A.G. to retain control over certain property and activities.   The Court may also determine whether a protective order should  be entered on behalf of L.A.G.

    L.A.G.  may attend  the hearing and be represented  by an attorney.   The Petition  may be heard and determined  in L.A.G.'s absence  if the Court determines  that the presence  of L.A.G. is not required.   If L.A.G.  attends  the hearing,  opposes  the Petition,  and is not represented  by an attorney,  the Court may appoint an attorney to represent L.A.G..  The Court may, where required,  appoint a Guardian ad litem to represent L.A.G. at the hearing.

    The Court may, on its own motion or on request of any interested  person,  postpone the hearing to another date and time.
