SYRACUSE – Guadalupe C. "Lupe" Castillo, 58, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born on May 1, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas, to Gilbert Castillo and Carmen Perales.
She moved to Indiana in September 1972 and graduated from Wawasee High School in Syracuse. She lived in Milford for several years, Fort Wayne for a few years and most of her life in the Goshen/Elkhart area.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies and Gents of the Cross Bible Study.
She is survived by daughter, Juanita (Beth) Rodriguez, of Auburn; two sons: Mario (Michelle) Rodriguez, of Fort Wayne; and Miguel (Nicole) Rodriguez, of Syracuse; nine grandchildren; two sisters: Janie Galindo, of Elkhart; and Carmen (Susan) Peralis, of South Bend; brother, Gilbert (Kim) Castillo Jr., of Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Jessica Rodriguez; and grandson, Gideon Rodriguez.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Dinna Disse officiating.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw.
