A group of residents are set to appear before the Kosciusko County Commissioners Tuesday morning to present their case against animal control officer Jerry Clase.
Claims of animal abuse have been levied against Clase, who is a 23-year veteran in the position.
Some of the claims charge Clase with cruelty toward animals at the county's animal shelter.
Clase has been unable to answer any of the allegations against him as he's been asked not to comment on them.
Clase's employment is through the county and not the sheriff's department. Clase can only be fired by County Administrator Ron Robinson, who attends county commissioner meetings.
The commissioners, Bob Conley, Brad Jackson and Ron Truex, received e-mails with claims against Clase last week.
The commissioners meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the old courtroom in the Kosciusko County Courthouse.
