Dan and Linda Smith, Warsaw, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Danae Grimm to Brent Philip Doty. He is the son of Kent and Christy Doty, Milford. Ashley is also the daughter of the late Alan Grimm.
The bride-to-be is a first- grade teacher at Alma Easom Primary School, Fayetteville, N.C. She graduated with honors from Anderson University in 2007, with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
The groom-elect is a seventh-grade math teacher at R. Max Abbott Middle School, Fayetteville. He graduated from IPFW in 2007, with a bachelor's degree in math and science for middle school education.
The couple are planning a December 2009 wedding in Warsaw.
