The trial of a Leesburg teenager accused of setting fire to the Leesburg Grace Brethren Church is scheduled to begin Monday.
Timothy Grevenstuk, 17, faces the charge of arson causing bodily injury, a Class A felony. He is accused of setting a fire that destroyed the church in July 1997.
The first trial involving Grevenstuk was declared a mistrial May 12 when a friend of Grevenstuk's allegedly threatened the daughter of a juror.
The juvenile who allegedly made the threats faces charges for contacting the girl and threatening her. The juvenile was reportedly a potential witness for the defense.
Grevenstuk remained in Kosciusko County Jail to serve his sentences on two other felony crimes.
His parents, convicted arsonists Sheila and Mike Grevenstuk, were also arrested in May and charged with obstruction of justice. The charges reportedly stem from contact they made with a potential witness giving Timothy an alibi on another charge of obstruction of justice.
