Greta E. Cobb Rhodes, 90, Warsaw passed away at 3:55 p.m. Sept. 27, 2014, at Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born Dec. 12, 1923, in Wollaston, Mass., to Walter and Greta Elder Cobb. On Nov. 24, 1956, she married Donald F. Rhodes, who died Nov. 14, 2007. She was a resident of Kosciusko County since 2003. She proudly served her country in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1954-1958. She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Wollaston. She was a loving wife and mother. Surviving are two sons, Donald Rhodes, Las Cruces, N.M., and David (and spouse Sheila) Rhodes, Germantown, Md.; six grandchildren: Natalie Rhodes, Austin, Texas; Jennifer (and spouse Mike) Penrose, New Paris; Christy (and spouse Jan) Geyer, Nappanee; Lauren Corwin, Goshen; Andrew Rhodes, Warsaw; Alicia Marsh, Germantown; and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by the Military Funeral Honor Guard and the Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and V.F.W. Post #1126.
