Gregory J. CosgroveGregory J. Cosgrove, 70, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., passed away on Friday, Feb., 21, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.
Greg was born on Jan. 25, 1950, in Warsaw, to Joseph F. Sr. and Regina Waterson Cosgrove. He married Diana Hill on Aug. 23, 1975, in Mentone.
Greg was raised in Warsaw and was a 1968 graduate from Warsaw Community High School.
He was a proud Marine and Vietnam veteran, joining the force in 1969.
After graduating from Indiana University in 1975, he and his wife moved to Raytown, Mo. Greg enjoyed working in the orthopedic sales business for 45 years, finishing his career with Smith-Nephew. Greg most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, along with working on his cars and working in his yard, although his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diana; daughter, Valerie Cosgrove, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; son, Kevin (Alicia) Cosgrove, Springfield, Mo.; and respectively his grandchildren, Jillian Landstiener and Clive Cosgrove. He is also survived by a beloved sister, Jean (Mitch) Brown, Warsaw; father-in-law, Robert J Hill, Mentone; and brother-in-law, John (Debbie) Hill, Atlanta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Mark, William and Joseph Jr. Cosgrove.
