The Warsaw Building and Code Enforcement Department reminds all property owners within the city limits of Warsaw of the ordinance governing high grass and weeds.
Grass, weeds or any other rank vegetation that exceeds 9 inches in height is in violation of Section 38-31 of the city of Warsaw Municipal Code.
Enforcement of this ordinance will include posting the property with a "notice to abate" at which time the property owner will be given 10 days to abate the nuisance. The city will then have the nuisance removed at the cost of the property owner. The cost of the abatement can range from $150 to higher amounts depending on the size of the property.
