Grandstand Packed for Fair Concerts

Posted
The midway was bustling Thursday, and once again the grandstand was the place to be at night as country music star Chris Young took the stage.

Fans began lining up hours before Young’s concert.

More than 2,500 fans watched Young play some of his chart-topping hits.

Local food stands have also been bustling this week.

According to Louie Davis from the Leesburg Lions Dairy Bar, Tuesday was perhaps the busiest day at the fair that stand has seen.

For places like the Leesburg Lions stand, busy days and nights equal more philanthropy for the community.

“We donate it all for our projects,” said Davis. “The money goes to things like Leesburg Little League and Leesburg School.”

“Tuesday was great,” said Davis. “We had a constant line.”

Wednesday night, around 2,500 people filled the grandstand at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds to watch rock act Theory Of A Deadman.

Today is G & G Hauling & Excavating Day, Sponsorship & Media Day.

Tonight is highlighted by the Sale of Champions at 7 p.m. at the show arena.

Stock Tracks Pulls also start at 7 p.m. in the grandstand.

General admission is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 through 12 and children 5 and under get in free.

Saturday is Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation Day.

It’s also the close of the fair for 2012.
