Kylee Rostochak and Madison Beaman each shot 94s to pace Wawasee’s girls golf team to a 17th-place finish at the Indiana Fall Preview held Saturday at Prairie View Golf Club, site of the state finals later this fall.
Mikala Mawhorter and Aubrey Schmeltz each carded 101s, and Kamryn Foy checked in with a 109 for the Lady Warriors.
Westfield was the top team with a 322 and Carmel was two strokes back. Columbus North was third with a 327.
“It as an honor for the girls to play here,” said Wawasee head coach Steve Coverstone via fax. “It is an extremely strong field and a very tough golf course. Madison continues to improve. Kylee shot a 94 but hit the ball even better than that. She had numerous three-putts.
“This course exposes your weaknesses, so now we know what we need to work on.”
Wawasee will be a visiting team  when they take on Whitko and host West Noble at South Shore on Wednesday.
