Grades for Schools Released, But None Drop

The Indiana Department of Education released the 2014-15 Accountability Grades Tuesday.
Gov. Mike Pence signed a plan into law last week saying grades couldn’t go down, they could only go up. Schools either kept their grade from the previous year or saw a rise.
Locally, North Webster Elementary received a “C,” remaining the same as 2013. Wawasee Middle School stayed the same as well with a “B.” Milford School received a “B” in 2014 and 2013. Syracuse Elementary got a “B,” up from a “C” in 2013. Wawasee High School saw no change in grade, with a “B” in 2014 and 2013.
For Warsaw Community Schools, Claypool Elementary remained as an “A” school from 2013. Lakeview Middle School received a “D” in 2014 as well as 2013. Eisenhower, Jefferson and Harrison Elementary schools all remained as “A” schools from past years. Leesburg Elementary School saw no change as it received a “B” in 2014 and 2013.
Warsaw Community High School stayed at a “B” from the previous year. Edgewood Middle School also stayed the same with a “C.” Lincoln Elementary received an “A” in 2014 and 2013. Madison Elementary School received a “B” in 2014 and in 2013. Washington Elementary saw no change in its “A” from  2013.
In the Tippecanoe Valley School Corp., all schools received the same grade in 2014 as 2013. Akron Elementary rceeived a “C,” Tippecanoe Valley High School received a “C,” Tippecanoe Vally Middle School got a “D” and Mentone Elementary got a “B.”
Whitko Community Schools all received the same grades in 2014 as they did in 2013. Whitko High School stayed an “A” school. Whitko Middle School received a “C,” Pierceton Elementary School stayed an “A” and South Whitley Elementary School remained a “B” school.
Lakeland Christian Academy received a “C” in 2014 and 2013. Warsaw Christian School and Sacred Heart School both remained as “A” schools from the previous year.
