Grace Signs Silver Lake's LokotarWINONA LAKE — Local student-athlete Jessica Lokotar has decided to continue her tennis career at Grace College. Lokotar is a recent graduate of The Indiana Academy for Science, Math and Humanities and was able to participate in athletics at Muncie Burris High School. While in high school, Lokotar participated for four years in tennis and two years in basketball. During her senior year, she competed at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles for Muncie Burris. She served as the team captain and also earned team MVP honors as a senior. Formerly, Lokotar spent two years at Warsaw Community High School where she played basketball both seasons. “I chose Grace for their location, committed staff, three-year program and focus on faith,” Lokotar said. “I want to have fun competing in my favorite sport while maintaining a healthy lifestyle to better serve God.” Throughout her academic career, Lokotar has proven to be an excellent student, finishing in the top 10 percent of her class at Indiana Academy, was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and also participated in 4-H for 10 years. At Grace, she plans to study pre-med with the hope of becoming a doctor. Lokotar, who resides in Silver Lake, is the daughter of John and Kathy Lokotar.
