WINONA LAKE — Grace College softball freshmen Samantha Johnson and Hannah Adams earned the weekly Crossroads League Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, announced on Monday. Johnson (Kokomo HS) had the best week of her young career when she batted an incredible .706 over six games. She ripped off 12 hits in 17 at-bats, notching three doubles and seven RBIs in the process. She posted a .882 slugging percentage and a .772 on-base percentage. Adams (Northeastern HS) was the Co-Softball Pitcher of the Week. She earned three of Grace's four wins on the mound this week. The freshman hurler struck out 17 batters in 14.1 innings while only walking three batters.
