A Republican caucus is being organized to fill the vacancy created after the resignation of Monroe Township Trustee Josh Spangle, who moved out of the township.
Spangle’s resignation is effective March 15.
Mike Ragan, Kosciusko County Republican chairman, announced the caucus will convene in the old courtroom at the Kosciusko County Courthouse, Warsaw, at 7 p.m. March 13.
Eligible members of the caucus include Republican precinct committeemen from Monroe Township who have served continuously beginning at least 30 days before the caucus.
The new trustee will be elected by secret ballot by the majority of caucus members.
Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with the Ragan by 7 p.m. March 10.

Candidates will be given three minutes to address the caucus. They must meet residence requirements and be a Republican in good standing.
