SYRACUSE - Kosciusko residents will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of Republican candidates Thursday night.
The Republican Central Committee will hold its "Meet the Candidates Night" from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Brooke Point Inn, 4906 E. CR 1200N, Syracuse.
Candidates scheduled to attend include seven-term State Representative Bill Ruppel, District 22, and Kosciusko County sheriff candidate William "Rocky" Goshert.
Republican candidates will speak about the Nov. 7 election, and a question and answer session is scheduled.
"This event will allow the community to get to know the candidates and help them make well-informed decisions when it is time to vote," said Republican Central Committee Chairman Aaron Rovenstine.
The Republican Party also will host a bus tour Thursday where three Republican candidates will visit the Kosciusko County Courthouse at 2:15 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Candidates who will speak at the courthouse include Republican Secretary of State Todd Rokita; State auditor candidate Tim Berry; and State treasurer candidate Richard Mourdock.
