Goodwill To Move To Anchorage Point, Third McDonald's Considered

Posted
Goodwill Industries has plans to move to a new location in Warsaw that will offer more space.
Plans for a third McDonald’s in Warsaw also are in the works.
A new seven-lot Anchorage Point development has been planned on Anchorage Road, west of Meijer and east of John Wong’s.
Goodwill plans to move from its current 3507 Commerce Drive location to the Anchorage Road location, said Jeremy Skinner, city planner, following Wednesday’s Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.
The seven-lot development was approved by Warsaw Plan Commission in September. The six lots that have not yet been spoken for are zoned commercial, Skinner said.
The current Goodwill Industries is 10,000 square feet, and the new location will be 20,000 square feet, Skinner said.
Goodwill has submitted a design plan to the building and planning department.
Soil and erosion control testing have been performed and the business has been approved to move dirt.
No timetable has been provided for when the store will be completed, Skinner said.
McDonald’s has shown sign permit plans to Warsaw Building and Planning Department officials, however, the business has not applied for a building permit yet.
The third McDonald’s is proposed to be located at U.S. 30 and Detroit Street south of Steak ‘n Shake.
