Goodwill Industries of Michiana Inc. will facilitate a hiring event with Elwood Staffing and other area companies at their Warsaw Community Career Center Friday from noon to 4 p.m. The career center is in the new Goodwill location, 751 Anchorage Point Drive. Companies attending include Patrick Industries, Lowe’s, Helvey and Associates and Creighton Brothers. They will be seeking individuals for positions in a variety of fields from entry level to management, including office administration, payroll clerk, paralegal, account manager, metal fabrication and delivery driver. Those interested in attending the hiring event should dress professionally, Goodwill advises, and to bring a current resume. Candidates should also be prepared to interview for the position that day. “We encourage all applicants to meet employers, ask questions, apply for positions and interview on the spot. If their schedules allow, we welcome visitors prior to this event. They can discuss their resume, proper attire and practice their interview skills,” said Kelly Friend, Warsaw Community Career Center manager, in the announcement. The hiring event is sponsored by Goodwill’s Workforce Development Services.
