Several local organizations and Boy Scouts worked together to develp an appealing entrance to the Good Beginnings Preschool.
The school is in the same building as Lakeview Middle School and the Alternative Learning Center at 850 E. Smith St., Warsaw. The new entrance is in the back of the building.
Helping with the sign project were Scouts Taylor Zigon and Josh Holland; the Noon Optimist Club; Lowe's; Castle Wall; Wal-Mart; REMC Round-Up; Dan and Tina Rice; Mary Guyer; Argonne Rental; Ed Roberts of Roberts' Signs; Sonny Nellans of Nellans Landscaping; and Shaun Bruner of Bruner Construction.
Good Beginnings Preschool started operating in 1991. The Warsaw Community Schools-based program was established to reflect a belief that all children should be entitled to an early childhood preschool program if parents so choose, according to information provided by teacher Dawn Pickens. The preschool serves children 3 to 5 years old.
