Goldie Pilcher, a Syracuse resident since 1947, will celebrate her 100th birthday Saturday.
Her daughter, Patti Jo Klotz, will host a celebration at her residence in Albion.
Two of Goldie’s sisters, Mildred Ratliff, 98, from Rocky Ford, Colo., and Helen Henning, 92, from Tucumcari, N.M., will attend the gathering.
Also celebrating with Goldie is her daughter, Linda Pilcher Wortinger from Sebring, Fla., and two nieces, Barbara Henerson, Noblesville, and Norma Stevins, California.
More family and grandchildren will enjoy fellowship with Goldie and relatives.
Earlier celebrations with Goldie included daughter Janice Pilcher Perzanowski from Merritt Island, Fla., and family, and son Robert Pilcher of Pilcher’s Shoes, North Webster.
Goldie and Douglas Pilcher founded Pilcher’s Shoes in 1947 in the Syracuse Pickwick Block. Goldie’s four adult children have blessed her with 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Goldie retired as a mastered teacher after 23 years. She continued working at the store until her 90s.
