Goldie B. Shoemaker, 96, of Claypool, died at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 23, 2010, in Gardens of Lake City, Warsaw.
She was born April 27, 1914, in Seward Township, Kosciusko County, to Harry R. and Myrtle M. Walters Taylor. On Aug. 23, 1941, she married Donn L. Shoemaker, who died in May 1991.
She was a beautician in Burket and worked for Tucker Funeral Home, Claypool. She was a member of Claypool United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet (and spouse Rex) Woodruff, Spencer; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jay Shoemaker, who died Jan. 3, 2009; a sister, Irene Shoemaker, who died in February 1984; and a brother, Paul Taylor.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Evelyn Haney of Claypool United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
