Editor, Times-Union: I have been a patient of Dr. Goksel for the last four years. I first started seeing him after I was diagnosed with incurable cancer. At that time Dr. Goksel told me while it was incurable the cancer was treatable which gave me hope. Through the efforts of Dr. Goksel, the nurses, and the rest of the staff at the Cancer Care Center I was given four years I didn’t expect to have. Dr. Goksel’s knowledge on the different methods of treating cancer was instrumental in giving me those years. I want to express my gratitude for the care that Dr. Goksel has given me over the past four years and express my sadness at his leaving. Dr. Goksel’s leaving will be a tremendous loss especially to those of us who continue to fight against cancer. Ruth Breske Warsaw, via email
