I write this because my great-great-great-grandfather on my mother's side fought in the Revolutionary War for the freedom of this country.
From that time to today, the United States has fought wars to free people. Our own nation was attacked in World War I and World War II.
The United States twice freed Europe. Many of those countries today have their own government. It was about 80 years after the Revolutionary War that this nation fought the Civil War that freed the blacks. The Northern states did not believe in slavery. There was also the Underground Railroad that blacks were able to get through, to the North for freedom.
In our Constitution, there are four freedoms:
1. Freedom of religion
2. Freedom of speech
3. Freedom of the press
4. Freedom of protest
I have the freedom to write! I do not agree with anyone who states: "God damn the United States."
I say, God bless America
Land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains to the prairies to the ocean white with foam
