Gloria Schneider ShenefieldGloria Schneider Shenefield, of Louisville, Colo., and formerly of Warsaw, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
She was born on Sept. 29, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Adolf and Erna Schneider.
Gloria spent much of her youth in Muncie, where she graduated from Burris High School and then Ball State University. She moved to Warsaw in 1949 upon marrying Bruce Maish, who preceded her in death. Gloria was an avid golfer, tennis player and snow skier. Additionally, she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Gloria spent her entire adult life in Warsaw until moving to Colorado in 2015.
She is also predeceased by her second and third husbands: Matt Dalton and Lyle Shenefield; and her sister, Ruth Cardle.
Gloria is survived by her children: Caryl Maish Myers (Greg), of Chicago; Shelley Maish, of Erie, Colo.; Jay Maish (Jeanne), of Littleton, Colo.; and two grandsons: Luke Maish, of Rancho Santana, Nicaragua; and Andy Maish (Sarah), of Dallas, Texas; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia. In addition, she is survived by many dear stepchildren and extended families.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Boulder, Colo., at St Andrew Presbyterian Church.
