Gloria G. Glant, 87, died at 4:51 p.m. Nov. 6, 2014, in Grace Village Healthcare, Winona Lake. She was born July 1, 1927, in LaHabra, Calif., to Manuel and Adelaide Carbjal Corona. On Sept. 16, 1945, in Fullerton, Calif., she married Chester H. Giant Jr., who preceded her in death Sept. 19, 2002. She graduated in 1945 from Fullerton High School. She was a homemaker and a nursing aid at Prairie View Nursing Home. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, liked to travel, was an avid walker, and loved feeding the birds and squirrels. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann (and spouse Paul) Rice, Winona Lake; a son, James Andrew (and spouse Edie) Glant, Claypool; two grandsons, Christopher DeSanto, Warsaw, and James Allen Price, Rochester; two great-granddaughters, Marissa DeSanto, Warsaw, and Harley Price, Salem, Ore; a brother, Armond Corona, Plancnpia, Calif.; and a sister, Marty Morgan, Hemmitt, Calif. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosemary Corona and Dolly Lashaway. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, officiating. No calling is planned.
