Gloria 'Darlene' Ogden

ROANN - Gloria "Darlene" Ogden, 75, of rural Roann, died at 1:40 a.m. July 22, 2008, in her residence.

She was born May 8, 1933, in Kewanna, to John E. and Thelma Zintsmaster Haecker. On Dec. 12, 1953, in Roann, she married Maurice R. Ogden, who survives.

She was a 1951 Laketon High School graduate and a member of the former Niconza Baptist Church, Miami County. She was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. She enjoyed gardening, reading and canning and freezing produce.

Also surviving are two sons, Ronald L. (and spouse Lora) Ogden and Dennis W. Ogden, both of Roann; three daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" D. (and spouse Dennis) Minnix and Julie A. Ogden, all of Roann, and Cheryl E. (and spouse Rick) Schooley, Warsaw; a son-in-law, Kent Franz, Monroeville; nine grandchildren: Monica Minnix, Indianapolis; Drew Minnix, Portsmouth, Ohio; Shelby Minnix and Brittany and Emily Ogden, all of Roann; Derek and Jordyn Franz, both of Monroeville; and Jacob and Caleb Schooley, both of Warsaw; and a brother, Jack Haecker, Wabash. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Franz, who died in 2006, and a brother, Charles Haecker.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 335 Chippewa Road, Roann, with Guy Provance and Rick Baber officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
