Glenn W. Grimm, 93, passed away at 6:25 p.m. March 22, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born June 26, 1921, in Nappanee, to Harvey G. and Lenora Stackhouse Grimm. On Nov. 25, 1944, in Anniston, Ala., he married H. Lucille Williamson, who survives in Warsaw. He was a 1939 graduate of Atwood High School. He lived most of his life in the Warsaw/Atwood area. He entered the U.S. Army on Oct. 10, 1944, and served during World War II. PFC Glenn W. Grimm was honorably discharged Oct. 28, 1945, from Fort Indian Town Gap Military Reservation, Pennsylvania. He loved being a farmer of grain and livestock, and retired in 1988. He was a member of Altersgate United Methodist Church, Atwood. He enjoyed woodworking, shuffle board and golfing – he even made a hole in one at Raccoon Run Golf Course. He loved chocolate ice cream; he had a wonderful sense of humor and was gentle and kind. He was a loving and faithful husband, loving and giving toward his children and grandchildren. He spoke of his wife and daughters as his three favorite girls. Also surviving are two daughters, Sharon (and spouse Jerry) Forthofer, Rockwell, N.C., and Susan (and spouse Keith) Ring, North Manchester; six grandchildren: Gwen (and spouse Steve) Braddock, Johnson City, Tenn.; Matt (and spouse Tammy) Forthofer, Mooresville, N.C.; Brandon (and spouse Allison) Ring, Whitefish Bay, Wis.; Derek (and spouse Amy) Ring, New Lenox, Ill.; Adam Grimm, Fort Bliss, Texas; and Ashley (and spouse Brent) Doty, Warsaw; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Tucker, Zionsville. He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Grimm, who died Dec. 27, 1987, and a brother, Warren Grimm, who died June 2, 1998. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, with Pastor Stormy Scherer-Berry, Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist Church, officiating. B urial is in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood, with military honors by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
