PLYMOUTH – Glenn J. Wade, 83, of Plymouth, died at 7:50 a.m. Nov. 21, 2011, in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Center, Plymouth.

He was born Feb. 22, 1928, in South Bend, to Glenn H. and Edna Marie Manuwal Wade. On Oct. 24, 1948, he married Elizabeth V. Komanich, who died March 21, 2009.

He attended Riley High School, South Bend, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. A self-employed truck driver for more than 40 years, he was a member of Teamsters Local 364, South Bend, and the Plymouth Moose Lodge. He enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren and also enjoyed fishing and all types of car racing.

Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne (and spouse Dan) Beam, Warsaw; two sons, Allen (and spouse Becky) Wade and Philip Wade, all of Plymouth; grandchildren, Nicole Lancaster, Andrea Gale, Michael Wade, Audra Sullivan and Julie and Jennelle Wade; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nadene Vincent, Pompano Beach, Fla. He also was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will hold private joint graveside services for Glenn and Elizabeth at a later date.

Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, is in charge of arrangements.
