NAPPANEE - Glenice Jean Reed, 73, of 21812 Suburban Drive, Elkhart, died at 3:20 a.m. Sept. 5, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 24, 1935, near Etna Green, to George Martin and Dorothy Hardy Reed.
A lifetime area resident, she attended Nappanee schools with the class of 1953.
Survivors include three brothers: Lewis "Bill" Reed, Elkhart; George Junior (and spouse June) Reed, Mentone; F. Glenn (and spouse Julia) Reed, Nappanee; two sisters, Lucille (and spouse Roscoe) Matz and Linda (and spouse Allan) Corwin, all of Wakarusa; two stepsisters, Dora (and spouse Richard) Gosbin, North Liberty; and Maxine (and spouse Donald) Ryman, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by a sister, a stepbrother and a stepsister.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Union Center Cemetery with the Rev. Janet McFall-Brown officiating.
Calling will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
