Glendel Leigh Price, 80, Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 6 a.m. March 24, 2016, at Grace Village Health Care. She was born May 13, 1935, in Kellys Creek, Kanawha County, W.Va., to Denver Lester and Anna May Carney Melton. On Sept. 3, 1955, she married Bernard Austin Price, Jr., and they shared 56 years together before he passed away Jan. 22, 2012. She was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past five years where she was a member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church. She retired after working as a teacher’s assistant in an elementary school in Hernando, Fla. She loved her children, especially her grandchildren, and will be dearly missed. She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Lorie (and spouse James) Brown, Maryland, and Stacey (and spouse William) Miller, Warsaw; two grandsons, Timothy (and spouse Melissa) Miller, North Carolina, and Jake Brown, Virginia; two granddaughters, Jocelyn (and spouse Leif) Lieberg, California, and Chandler Miller, Warsaw; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Asher Miller, North Carolina; a brother, Eddie (and spouse Dora) Melton, Connecticut; and two sisters, Essie (and spouse Gene) Helmic, West Virginia, and Carole (and spouse Clay) Lamb, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dayton Melton. She will be buried alongside her husband at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., at a later date. Calling is from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the courtyard of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church to celebrate her life.
