SYRACUSE - Glenace L. Kerfin, 97, of The Maples, Goshen, died at 3:07 p.m. Jan. 31, 2010, in Goshen General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 21, 1912, in Rockford, Ohio, to Jesse and Carrie Bury Spry. On Sept. 7, 1931, in Salina, Ohio, she married William Joseph Kerfin, who died in 1983.
She moved to the Syracuse area from Chicago, in 1959. She was a member of St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church, Syracuse, and the Women's Sodality of the church, as well as the Senior Mothers Club, Syracuse.
Surviving are two daughters, Billie (and spouse Everardo) Ganz, Syracuse, and Dianne (and spouse Bill) Roberts, Goshen; six grandchildren: Wendy Beyeler, Kimberly (and spouse Steve) Frauhiger and James (and spouse Linda) Roberts, all of Goshen; Carrie (and spouse Keith) Tarver, Indianapolis; Dale (and spouse Benji) Ganz and David (and spouse Kelly) Ganz, all of Syracuse; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
A mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
