Glam Raising Funds For SmithStrong Foundation

Tickets are now available for a fundraiser that will mark the second anniversary of Glam and raise money for the SmithStrong Foundation Fund.
Glam is an upscale women’s boutique at 212 S. Buffalo St. that sells clothing and accessories.
During an interview Wednesday afternoon at the business, Michelle Smith Ledrew, Glam owner, said the event is a celebration of Glam’s anniversary and an opportunity to honor her father, Charlie Smith, and her brother, Scott Smith, through raising funds for the fund.
Charlie and Scott Smith were killed in a plane crash Oct. 2. The SmithStrong Foundation Fund was created through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation in memory of them.
The fund provides scholarships for Tippecanoe Valley High School senior student athletes who exemplify the values that Charlie and Scott demonstrated in their daily lives.
Charlie was Tippecanoe Valley High School’s first football coach, and Scott was a 1990 TVHS graduate.
The fundraiser, titled “Glam 2.0: The Second Anniversary Gala,” is Oct. 6 from 7 to 10 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Vic at One Ten Craft Meatery, 110 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
Tickets are $30 and VIP?tickets are $35. Advanced tickets are required. VIP tickets include a Glam swag bag and reserved seating for the show. People can visit Glam to purchase tickets.
Smith Ledrew’s employees and clients of all shapes and sizes, totaling 10 models in the fashion show, will showcase Glam clothing. Accessories also will be modeled.
It will feature a champagne bar, hor d’oevres, a live makeover reveal, a runway show with Glam’s fall and holiday collection and a raffle for a three-month subscription to Glambox, which are outfits that are sent each month to customers.
Amy Delp, Glam client and Warsaw Community Church worship leader, will provide a prayer before the fundraiser.
Nominations are now being sought for the 2016 Glamover contest. One woman will be chosen to complete a makeover to include an outfit from Glam, a piece of jewelry from Chapman Jewelers and professional hair and makeup by J Three Salon. The live reveal will be during the gala and fashion show.
